Are You On Google+?
Google+ is a social media network which is developed by Google. It was recently released and is focused around inviting friends via +’s you get while using the network. Over the past few months, Facebook has been taking part in unfavorable changes in their website. This is making users want to stop using it, which is perfect for Google. Over 40% of Facebook users have TOTALLY switched to Google+, and they say 30-40% have partially done so.
The great thing about Google+ is that it more than likely will not fail while it’s up. Even though there is a limited number of Google Plus invitation, there is still a substantial number of users that have signed up for an account during the first two months of testing. It seems to be very stable and well liked, and Google is well known for keeping anything that works well. The reason why Facebook is being used less is because the changes are unable to be disabled. This means everything is uniform, and a lot of people prefer for their SOCIAL network to remain just that.
Myspace failed because everyone moved to Facebook, and Facebook failed due to too many changes that were REQUIRED to use the social media network. Not only that, but being unable to customize your Facebook profile was one of the bigger downfalls. People are more than interested in being able to make it their own.
Google+ has already offered a lot of features that both websites were missing, and gives you the choice of being able to turn them on or off. Users are hoping that Google+ will not change the way this works, because the options are slowly thinning.
No one will ever have to worry about Google+ being understaffed or not having enough money to continue the project, as Google is MORE than well funded, (because it is making more than any other company in the WORLD per year.) Google can also offer some of the best speeds, which means no worries about lag.
Android users can also look forward to an application that will be designed specifically for their phone, because Google runs the Android Market. This means that android users will have an easier, bug-free way of accessing it with their mobile device. There more than likely will be an app for the iPhone set for a latter date, but nothing has been discussed at this time.
All in all, Google+ looks very promising and is rapidly growing its userbase. The only thing that everyone is waiting for is to see if they will fall prey to the same minor and major issues that dozens of other “social networking sites” have. Although Facebook isn’t dead yet, it’s only a matter of time before a new network is declared the top. If you have not experienced Google’s new social networking platform, you should go here for invites. There are lots of features that Google+ offers, such as: Circles, Huddle, Sparks, Games just to name a few. With Google as a mega giant in the internet world, we should not expect anything less in this social platform.
Google+ has only been out for about two months and its still currently in this trial-run period. Google is currently setting a limited number of invites to the public but we should look for free Google+ invites. This social networking website can be the strong contender to Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and other platforms and its just a matter of time before this would happen.
